AC Milan club managers are working to close a deal for RB Salzburg's 23-year-old Serbian Central defender Strahinja Pavlovic.
The defender was one of the first profiles added to Milan's management list, and after several weeks of negotiations, the agreement is closer than ever.
From Milan, they have been able to leverage the player's desire to move to the Rossoneri; in Austria, they have tried to protect their interests, getting as much as possible from the sale of a player whose contract expires in 2027.
In the end, the deal will be around 20 million euros. For the Serbian, a five-year contract is ready, worth 1.5 million euros per season, double what he was earning until now.
Pavlovic will add height (194 centimetres tall) and physical strength to the Rossoneri defensive department, which is in great need of new blood. His arrival could push Thiaw to the sidelines, for whom Newcastle United has shown concrete interest. To let the German player leave, Milan is asking for 40 million euros, as told by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
