During today's appointment with L'Editoriale, Luca Marchetti spoke on Tuttomercatoweb Radio. Here are his words, as relayed via Milan News.
Is the market finally heating up?
“It’s the right time, the accumulated delay so far and the need to finalise the teams just a few days before the start of the championship lead to an acceleration and difficulties that you risk having throughout the season. There have been many changes in the teams and today the only one that has already closed its market is Inter. They have only added two important players like Taremi and Zielinski to an already strong squad. Only Atalanta could have given continuity, but with Scamacca's injury, the Koopmeiners issue, and more, it seems that they might implode. Then there are clubs like Roma, Milan, Juve, and Napoli that are rebuilding and starting over.”
Can we consider Pierre Kalulu to Juve a done deal? Should we expect other operations between Milan and the Bianconeri?
“I don't know about other moves, there is always a possibility with the market open even if I see it difficult to fit. The two clubs have virtually shaken hands, a loan with an option to buy and not an obligation, we are just waiting for the player's approval although I don't think there will be any problems. You always have to wait, we had considered Cajuste and Pubill done deals and then the market told us otherwise.”
