After weeks of negotiations, the Youssouf Fofana-Milan deal finally seems to have reached a turning point: the Rossoneri have prepared an offer of 20-22 million euros (including bonuses) that should convince Monaco, a club proving to be a tough nut to crack in negotiations.
This was reported this morning by Corriere della Sera, which explains that the French midfielder is a key player for Paulo Fonseca's plans in Milan, a team full of offensive talent but in need of a defensive midfielder like Fofana. In recent hours, there is great optimism even in the player's entourage, who is out of contract in less than a year with the Monegasque club (June 30, 2025).
Fofana has been pushing for the transfer to the Rossoneri for some time, and Fonseca is pressing to have him available as soon as possible. His words after the Silvio Berlusconi Trophy were quite clear about his desire to see the Frenchman at Milanello very soon:
"Is the midfielder missing from the market? The midfielder is Fofana, we all know that."
The Rossoneri club has now raised its offer to Monaco, and the hope is that the deal can be concluded by the beginning of next week.
