Giorgio Furlani spoke to Sky Sport Italia before the Milan - Torino match. Here are the statements from the AC Milan CEO:
A new beginning and a targeted market:
"We knew the type of work we had to do, as you said, targeted and precise. We're almost at the end of the market, though it's not over yet. We've done what we needed to do without publicizing everything at the start. I believe the fans are appreciating the work done; now it's up to the players on the field."
Is there still room for something in the market? How is Zlatan Ibrahimovic growing as a manager?
"The more time passes, the more I, Ibra, Geoff (Moncadaà, and Cardinale work closely together. We are a team in great harmony. We already were, and this market has further solidified that. It is going exceptionally well. As for the market, as long as the final bell hasn't rung, we're here, active and ready. We'll see what opportunities arise, but we don't have any emergencies and have done what we needed to."
On Yacine Adli, Tommaso Pobega, and Pierre Kalulu not being called up today. Are they on the market? Furlani said:
"They are very good players, good guys. They all have various requests. We'll see how it turns out. If they stay with us, we're happy; if they want new experiences, we'll accommodate them. That's the Milan style: if they want to try new experiences, it's fair to fulfill their wishes."
On Ismael Bennacer and the Arab interest, Furlani said:
"He is a very strong player and part of our project. Who knows what the market will bring in the next few days; it's not our style to push players away. As long as they are here, they are part of our project."
He also spoke to DAZN a few minutes before the match against Torino:
On the transfer market:
"It was clear what we had to do in the market this year; it had to be more targeted. We identified the objectives and didn't let ourselves be rushed or panicked. We're satisfied, now it's up to the field to respond."
On the goals:
"Every year we prepare the team with the ambition to win, even if it doesn't always happen. I believe the team has been strengthened with the right additions. Now it's up to the guys."
Will there be further reinforcements? Furlani responded:
"The market is open for about 15 more days, and as long as there's music, we dance. If there are operations to be done, we will do them. For the rest, there's no panic."
