During the tour in the United States, Alexis Saelemaekers and Samuel Chukwueze gave the impression of returning to Milan with a different energy, respectively after a loan and vacations. Indeed, during the overseas commitment, they turned out to be the best for consistency, attitude, but above all, performances.

Paulo Fonseca hoped that these two players could perform similarly yesterday, but instead, the Portuguese coach was disappointed. Saelemaekers and Chukwueze were among the worst in Milan-Torino, possibly due to less than optimal physical condition.

Alexis Saelemaekers ratings after the match:

Gazzetta dello Sport (4.5) - He started off with determination. Then Bellanova increased the tempo, and the Belgian was often sliced apart. He was late in the action that led to Thiaw’s own goal.

Corriere dello Sport (5.5) - Fonseca trusts him and uses him as a left-back. But at the first opening, Bellanova took advantage and scored for Torino.

Tuttosport (5.5) - Fonseca wanted to keep him because he appreciated his versatility. Thus, he played him in three different positions, possibly causing confusion.

Samuel Chukwueze's ratings after the match:

Gazzetta dello Sport (4.5) - What happened to the “Chukwu” admired in America? Just one shot off target. Then stops, passes, crosses: he didn't get anything right. Substituted due to exhaustion.

Corriere dello Sport (5) - The will is always there, but he made so many bad passes."

Tuttosport (5) - "The beautiful Samuel admired on tour remained in the United States."
