Juventus has finally reached an agreement to bring Pierre Kalulu to the club. According to Italian sports media, the French defender has decided to join Thiago Motta's squad, bidding farewell to AC Milan after three seasons, during which he played a significant role, especially in the Scudetto-winning season.

The deal, which has been in the works for a few weeks, has been finalised as a paid loan worth 3 million euros, with an option to buy set at 14 million euros, along with an additional 3 million euros potentially included as bonuses.
But how will this transfer impact the finances of Juventus and Milan? And how much profit could the Rossoneri club register if Kalulu leaves on a permanent basis?
Based on official data, the net book value of the player was 725,000 euros as of June 30, 2023. Considering his contract expiring in 2027, and without any increases in his historical cost, Kalulu's net value decreased to 543,000 euros as of June 30, 2024. Assuming a loan fee of 3 million euros, this amount would more than cover the amortization quota for 2024/25 (which is 181,000 euros), and considering the absence of a salary, the impact of the deal would be positive for around 5.44 million euros.
If the conditions for a permanent transfer are met later, Milan would also register a significant profit. Assuming Juventus buys the player at the end of the 2024/25 season, the profit for the Rossoneri club (considering the 14 million euros) would be around 13.64 million euros.
How much is Kalulu worth? The cost for Juventus
On the Juventus side, the cost of Kalulu will be equivalent to the loan fee for the 2024/25 season. The Bianconeri will pay 3 million euros for the player's arrival, plus his salary, which is expected to be 2.4 million euros net, or 3.14 million euros gross (as the player benefits from the tax advantages of the "Growth Decree"). If these figures are confirmed, Kalulu will cost Juventus 6.14 million euros for his first season with the club.
