Tammy Abraham, AC Milan's new centre-forward who came on loan from AS Roma, has spoken to the media in a press conference.

Here are his words:

"I grew up with Milan. I consider it an excellent team. I'm often asked how I want to play. I'm always ready to face new challenges. I hope to achieve good results, have a positive impact; we're riding the wind."

What emotions did you feel?

"When I saw Milan was interested in me, I just kept waiting, telling myself over and over that this was the place I wanted to be."

Instant connection with Rafael Leao?

"There's a pretty funny story behind it. We decided what to do together before entering the field, and we went in and did exactly what we wanted to do."

How are you physically? Abraham answered:

"I feel at my best. I'm recovering from the injury, but I feel really, really good."

What did you say to Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao during the cooling break?

"We all saw the scene. I was talking with them; there was adrenaline in the body. They stayed at the side of the field, simply because there was water, and they drank it there."

What promise do you make to Milan fans?

"I grew up with this club, in my soul and heart, with all the trophies and players. Playing here, in this fantastic city and in this fantastic stadium, just like the fans are, is a dream. I want to contribute my best. I'll try to make this season the best it can be."

You met Alvaro Morata at Chelsea...

"Yes, we met at Chelsea, where I trained. Morata is a leader, and being on the field with him is truly great and interesting."

Are there leaders at Milan?

"I got off the plane and went to play, so it takes some time to build relationships. There are great players at Milan, and there are friends."

Did you want to leave Roma?

"No. It's not that I lost confidence, absolutely not, but the fans know how important Roma is to me. However, sometimes in life, there are moments when you have to level up, raise the bar, and I thought this was the right opportunity. I wish Roma the best, but now I'm focused on Milan."

You've had two difficult years...

"The first year went very well with Roma, but the second was more challenging. Players are human beings, and the injury dragged me down for a while, but this opportunity at Milan is my big chance to show that I'm back. My ambition is always to win."

What are your goals? Abraham replied:

"I'm 27 years old, and there are many decisions to make. I want to score goals; many expect me to excel in aerial play."

Do you know the story of Mark Hateley (former legendary Milan striker from England)?

"For me, it's wonderful to be here. I hope to achieve great results. My heart is here, my head is here, and I'm a Milan fan just like everyone else. I'll do my best to become a legend like the one you mentioned."
