We are at the beginning of the first national break of the season, and for Paulo Fonseca, it's already a time of reckoning. After a disappointing start to the league, which has resulted in two draws and a defeat, as well as conceding two goals per game and facing several locker room management issues, the Portuguese coach is already under intense scrutiny.

He will need to show immediate improvement upon the return from the break if he doesn’t want to see the end credits rolling on his Milanello tenure after just a couple of months.
The Corriere dello Sport writes the following:
"Fonseca postponed until September."
The newspaper explains: "Two points and zero wins in the first three league matches: Milan needs to change pace against Venezia and Liverpool, then in the derby and against Lecce."
Meanwhile, Rafael Leao is facing additional off-field problems as he responds to Paolo Di Canio's criticism with a social media post on X: "Leao attacks Di Canio with a biting post: the former striker had criticized him for his behavior on Saturday at the Olimpico."
Returning to Fonseca, despite the difficult moment, it is specified that the coach currently has the full support of the club. Specifically, owner Gerry Cardinale has shown his support for the team, although a change in direction is still expected.
