Morata is not the only one eager to return to the field. In addition to the Spanish forward, Malick Thiaw, Alessandro Florenzi, and Marco Sportiello, the other three injured Milan players, were also present at Milanello yesterday.

La Gazzetta dello Sport writes that, after being unavailable for the trip to Rome against Lazio due to an ankle issue, the German defender could be back at Paulo Fonseca’s disposal for the match against Venezia after the break.

The timelines are much longer for the two Italians. Alessandro Florenzi, who was at Milanello yesterday for a physiotherapy session, won’t be back on the field before 2025 due to the cruciate ligament and meniscus injury he suffered during the American tour this summer.

As for Sportiello...

A similar but less serious situation applies to Marco Sportiello, who will be out for about two more months due to a left index finger injury.
