This morning's edition of Corriere dello Sport published the following headline:
"Scudetto Expenses. Milan without alibis."
The 2024 summer transfer market has just closed, during which the club spent 75 million euros on player signings, not including bonuses that will be triggered if certain specific conditions are met. The squad's overall cost has also increased by 25 million euros (rising from 150 million euros in September 2023 to 175 million euros in September 2024).
CIES has ranked the teams with the most expensive squads in the world, placing Milan 22nd in Europe and 3rd in Italy, behind Juventus (9th), just behind Napoli (21st), and ahead of Inter (24th).
