Fonseca and Di Francesco have already faced each other as opponents in the Serie A, specifically during the 2020/21 football season. Fonseca was managing Roma, while Di Francesco was in charge of Cagliari.
The clash between the two ended 3-2 for the Giallorossi, giving the Portuguese coach the victory. Venezia’s manager, however, is now hoping to even the personal score.
