Speaking to DAZN, Matteo Gabbia made the following statements ahead of the upcoming matches and the entire season.
Here are his words:
On Paulo Fonseca:
"We had a good preseason, but we didn’t start the year in the best way, considering the results. However, I’m confident that with the daily work we’re putting in, the unity of the group, and following the coach’s instructions, we’ll be able to turn the season around and bring positivity both to the team and the environment. Some tactical and training approaches have changed, and the team is trying to do its best. We are all pulling in the same direction."
On Alvaro Morata and Pierre Kalulu, Gabbia said:
"Alvaro brings not only quality but also leadership and personality. Now, he’s dealing with a physical issue, and we miss him. He’s a player who brings a lot to the group. I’m sure he’ll give us great help. Pierre (Kaluluà was a very important player for me, but there were decisions that led to his departure, and we’re really sorry about it. I wish him all the best."
On the season Milan must have:
"We need to play an important role both in the league and in the Champions League, and we must give it our all. Then, we’ll see the results of our work. Wearing the Milan shirt means always aiming for the top."
