It’s the eve of AC Milan's debut in the 2024-2025 Champions League: tomorrow evening at 9 PM CEST, Paulo Fonseca's Rossoneri will face Liverpool at San Siro. The final training session is still underway at Milanello, with Davide Calabria participating.
The latest from Milanello:
The Rossoneri captain, who resumed group work yesterday, has therefore recovered and will be among the squad for the clash against the Reds. However, Malick Thiaw remains out, still recovering from the ankle sprain that has kept him sidelined in recent weeks. Besides Thiaw, other injured players Sportiello, Bennacer, and Florenzi will also be absent, and Jovic will not be included as he was not added to the UEFA list. Among the players available to Fonseca, who spoke with Ibrahimovic and Moncada before training, there will be three young players: Zeroli, Bartesaghi, and Liberali.

Regarding the probable Milan lineup, while awaiting the latest updates from the Portuguese coach's press conference scheduled for 2:15 PM, there are mainly two open positions: the first is the right-back position where Calabria and Emerson Royal are competing for a starting spot, while the other is in attack, with Morata slightly ahead of Abraham (the Spaniard will speak at the press conference alongside Fonseca).
Behind the confirmed lineup, the trio that played against Venezia will remain: Pulisic on the right, Reijnders in the middle, and Leao on the left. Fofana and Loftus-Cheek are expected to be confirmed in midfield, while in defense, besides the usual Theo Hernandez on the left, Tomori should return alongside Pavlovic.
AC Milan's possible lineup vs Liverpool
Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Pavlovic, Theo; Fofana, Loftus-Cheek; Pulisic, Reijnders, Leao; Morata.
