On the eve of Milan - Liverpool, MilanNews.it released an exclusive interview with journalist Charlie Wyett from The Sun who discussed the anticipated Champions League clash:

Do you think there's any player in the current Milan squad who could play for Liverpool?
"I don't think many, apart from Leao. Certainly none of the three English players (Tomori, Loftus-Cheek, and Abraham) on the (Liverpool) roster."
The last Milan-Liverpool match was decided by Divock Origi. The Belgian secured the win for the English side, then moved to Milan. Today, he's out of the plans and without a buyer. Did you expect this flop?
"Origi was a cult hero at Liverpool because he scored some crucial goals in big matches. But the reality is that he was an average player in a very strong team. When he transferred to Milan, there was a lot of surprise in England because, in my opinion, he's more of a Crystal Palace player. Or, if we want to stay in Italy, a Lecce player."
