Speaking to the microphones of 'Il Terzo Uomo' on YouTube, Marco Giampaolo, former AC Milan coach, spoke about his time on the Rossoneri bench, an experience that lasted a short time due to negative results.
Here are his statements:
"There are projects that begin and can continue, and other experiences that instead end quickly. At Milan, I lacked time; I didn't have the opportunity to work well and to improve things."
Giampaolo added:
"I remember that year at Milan there was the World Cup, or the America's Cup, or the Africa Cup... 4-5 players returned on 6-7 August. The team was completed at the end. I remember we went on tour to America with 12-13 players. I played friendlies with 4-5 boys from the Primavera."
Marco Giampaolo's era at Milan was very brief. He was hired by Paolo Maldini, Frederic Massara and Zvonimir Boban in June 19, 2019 and he was finally sacked in October 8, 2019. He only coached the Rossoneri team in 7 official matches in Serie A, winning 3 and losing 4 including a derby.
