AC Milan could return to the transfer market in January for a right-back. With captain Davide Calabria's ongoing physical issues and Emerson Royal's performances not fully convincing the management, especially defensively, the club may invest again in January to address the issues on the right flank.
According to reports from The Sun, the Rossoneri are considering Kieran Trippier from Newcastle. An international profile with good experience who can certainly provide high-level performances.
The right-back, who is 34 years of age, has found very little playing time at Newcastle this season due to Tino Livramento's performances. For this reason, the Englishman could transfer as early as January.
The AC Milan club, however, is not the only team interested in him. According to Sun Sport, there are five potential destinations: Milan and Atalanta (on loan), Mourinho's Fenerbahce, as well as Burnley and Saudi Arabia, as relayed via PianetaMilan.it.
Trippier's contract with Newcastle runs until June, 30, 2026.
