In an interview with Milan TV, the Portuguese coach, Paulo Fonseca, commented on the defeat against Fiorentina:
On the match:
"In the first half, we lacked aggression. The first goal conceded came from a lack of aggression. In the second half, however, we were more aggressive and created more, but if you miss two penalties, it's difficult to win the match."
On who the team's penalty taker is:
"The penalty taker is Pulisic; I don't know why the boys changed. I have already told the players that it won't happen again."
On the performance:
"We created a lot; we could have won the match. But we did not have the right aggression."
On squad rotation, Fonseca said:
"We had four days to recover. I have already said that this is a moment that requires continuity. A UEFA study has shown that teams that change less win more. We had four days to recover, and that's why I made these choices."
