AC Milan continue to struggle. In fact, the victory in the derby was not sufficient for the Rossoneri to create a winning streak. Despite beating Lecce comfortably with a 3-0 score at San Siro after that, Fonseca's team lost against Bayer Leverkusen in BayArena, then were defeated at the Artemio Franchi stadium last Sunday.
Former Juventus and Milan coach, Fabio Capello, commented on Paulo Fonseca's situation.
Here are his words to La Gazzetta dello Sport:
"It's undeniable that Leão was doing interesting things in the second half. He was in the game, unlike other times. However, Fonseca explained the reasons for the substitution with Okafor. He wanted more depth, and surely the Swiss player guaranteed more of that than Rafa. I will never criticise a coach for a technical or tactical decision: he played an extra card, and it might have gone wrong, but it is his duty to make those decisions."
