AC Milan lost 2-1 against Fiorentina last Sunday night at the Artemio Franchi. Much have gone wrong for head coach Paulo Fonseca's team and criticism has resumed.
The well-known Italian journalist, Carlo Pellegatti, spoke about the Rossoneri's disappointing match and had these statements to say via his YouTube channel:
"There are no more words to comment on a match like this, which has too many similarities with the one against Parma. Then there's the penalty taker issue; the coach can't designate the penalty taker as Pulisic, and then Theo and Abraham take it, not Pulisic, who seemed like the obvious choice. There are no words for the first-half performance either, against a regular team. But even they had better passing combinations than Milan. No one is spared today."
He continued to talk about Milan's negative performance:
"The Rossoneri started off badly. They managed to be worse than this Fiorentina. Leao never took on his opponent, who was even booked. Fofana was poor. Morata was poor, and Fonseca was poor. So what happens in these upcoming weeks? They will be long and difficult weeks because fair criticism will come. The relapse is always worse than the initial fall, and today it was heavy."
He added:
"It was important to win to dispel doubts, but instead, they all resurfaced—it's an incredible situation. A complicated moment that no one expected."
