The 24-year-old Colombian striker of Hellas Verona, Daniel Mosquera, has spoken highly of the AC Milan club, admitting that he would love to don the Rossoneri shirt one day.
"I grew up watching Carlos Bacca , Cristian Zapata , Mario Yepes", he said. "That's why I like the Rossoneri, among the greats in Europe and in Italy."
"I would love to play for Milan. I will work hard to have the opportunity."
Mosquera added:
"Duvan Zapata and Jhon Córdoba are models for me. They are powerful, fast and prolific strikers. [...] Zapata has great quality, which is also why he's been in Italy for a long time and until now I had only seen him on television. In general I try to learn from anyone, always trying to improve my style of play."
Mosquera on the Serie A:
"Here (in Serie A), the technical level and the pace of the game are high, you work with intensity. The mental aspect is important, it makes a lot of difference how you position yourself. If your mind is convinced that you are capable, it helps you, regardless of the difficulty of the level you are at."
On the national team:
"For me it is important to be in the orbit of Colombia . It is a dream to realise, I would like to experience those moments. It would be nice to have that type of experience, but now I am more focused on doing well here and waiting for the opportunity to wear the colors of my country", as relayed via Transfermarkt.
The right-footed centre-forward who stands at 180 centimetres tall, has a contract with Hellas Verona and it is valid until 2028. He signed for the Italian club coming from Colombia for just 700 thousand euros in the previous summer transfer window. So far this season, Mosquera has made 7 Serie A appearances, playing a total of 260 minutes while scoring three goals and registering one assist to his name.
