Present at the Festival dello Sport which takes place in Trento, former legendary Milan coach Fabio Capello discussed a few topics.
Here are his words about his Milan era, as relayed via Tuttomercatoweb:
"It was a team with great respect, especially among themselves. If you want to create a team, you need the right spirit. That's how victories come. Or at least, you get to the end. I have always been lucky to have leaders on the field who made sure things were done properly and who, by speaking in the locker room, managed to convey the right messages with common sense."
Is there a leader similar to those you mentioned in today's Milan?
"I don't know this Milan. I read, I watch, I stay informed, but I'm not inside that locker room," answered Capello.
What do you think of Carlo Ancelotti's new Real Madrid after Kylian Mbappé's arrival?
"I think it will take some time. When a big star arrives at Real, they need to understand that they have to work like any other player. Because in that club, there are no single stars, but many. However, I believe that Ancelotti will find the winning balance in a short time."
You knew Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a player. What do you think about what he's doing as an executive at Milan? Capello replied:
"Ibra has the potential to be an executive. But we need to give him time to understand."
