The USA's national team boss, Mauricio Pochettino, said that Pulisic is a "fantastic player", but he needs to be protected:
"I think he's a fantastic player, one of the best offensive players in the world", he said in a press conference.
"He’s playing every single game, every single minute, something that we are a little bit worried about. Sometimes we need to protect, because he arrived a little bit tired. But that’s something I’ve spoken about before, to be in a very good relationship with the club. When we really need him, he needs to be in form, happy, strong, because he has enormous talent."
