Speaking at the Festival dello Sport, George Weah discussed time at AC Milan:
"They made me feel at home right away, from the very first day. Berlusconi, Galliani, my teammates, and then the affection of the fans—it's something incredible even today. And to think that I was a Juventus fan, but I always scored against the Bianconeri, although once I missed a penalty."
He concluded with a comment about his son Timothy Weah, who plays for Juventus:
"When the time came, he told me that he grew up with his friends in New York and felt like playing for the United States national team. It was another opportunity to seize, and there was no reason for me to stand in his way. I had spoken to Maldini about him; he was watching him for Milan, but then Juventus signed him. I'm happy, I’ve always been a Juventus fan because of Platini. I’m convinced he still has plenty of room to improve."
