Former footballer and TV commentator Antonio Di Gennaro spoke about the day's topics on Maracanà, in the afternoon on TMW Radio.
Once upon a time, there was the concept of the "captain-flagbearer," (bandiera) but does rotating the captain's armband prevent players from growing in personality?
"The captain is one," said the former assistant of Fatih Terim at AC Milan. "Obviously he has to embody leadership and have charisma. There must be one captain, recognised by the whole team. When I was at Bari, they gave me the armband, but I was in competition with other historic players, and they gave it to me because of my experience in Serie A and with the national team. Then they integrated me into the social fabric. Today, at Milan, they need to find a single captain with certain characteristics, as I mentioned."
Inter and Juventus face Roma and Lazio next weekend:
"I respect Juric, but there's something wrong at Roma; there's no unity of purpose. Roma needs a spark, like the derby was for Fonseca's Milan. Dovbyk has settled into Roma, but we need to see Dybala, Soulé, Baldanzi—those who should make the difference. They need a game that shakes up such an important environment."
Di Gennaro continued:
"Inter, however can't afford to lose ground; the others are hungry. If Inter draws, they lose more points. On the other hand, Juventus has many player problems, especially with Bremer missing. It will be a difficult match, Lazio plays the best football. In my opinion, Juventus is at greater risk than Inter."
