Head coach Paulo Fonseca spoke to Milan TV ahead of tomorrow's match against Monza.
Here are all his statements:
"We’re aware of what we achieved against Napoli. It’s true, we’re not satisfied because we lost a match we should have won. We played to win, but we need to understand where we’ve progressed and where the team has grown. The team is confident; it’s true that it’s better to work with positive results, but I think the players are motivated and mentally strong right now. We’re ready for this tough match against Monza.”

Fonseca on playing away from home:
"If we look at the results, we must win, not because we never play to win, but because the goal is always the same: to win. We have to win tomorrow. It will be tough, but we want to start winning games away from home too.”
On the players’ commitment, he said:
"We have important players returning who didn’t play against Napoli, but those who were on the field in that game showed how significant they can be. I’m pleased with those who played against Napoli; they’re ready. This is an important and positive point for me, having the possibility to choose among various players at the moment is a positive point. The players are all working well, and for me, it’s positive when it’s tough to choose. I think the team wins with these things.”

On Monza, Fonseca said:
"They’re a strong team, they drew with Inter. They have quality and are very well-coached. I told the players it would be a difficult match. We want to win, the team and the players deserve this victory for how they have played and worked this week. They deserve to have this happiness and to bring this happiness to the fans. Then, we’ll think about the match against Real Madrid.”
Regarding the team’s growth, Fonseca said:
"What’s important is to look at how the team is playing. Not just the quality of play, but also how they work together. I feel the squad is working as a team. With the ball, without the ball... We’re progressing in many things. We don’t lose the ball as easily as before; the team understands the moment in the game. It’s true that we need to improve defensively. It’s not that we’re conceding a lot, but we gave Napoli, who don’t make mistakes, one opportunity… I think that even defensively, the team is growing, staying tight and compact. This is important to me. Obviously, the most important thing for all of us is the results, but this kind of performance builds confidence for the future."
