Alessandro Nesta, former Milan legend and currently head coach of Monza, spoke to the DAZN microphones after the 0-1 loss against Milan.

Here are his words:

"In the first half, we did very well, but when we conceded, we pushed forward with too many players, we went just a bit too far, but that happens. It could have ended 3-1; if the first half had ended 3-1, it wouldn’t have been a problem."

On the disallowed goal for Monza, Nesta said:

“After the error in Bergamo, they wrote to us and apologised. But what kind of foul is today's? They’re ruining football here; you can’t do anything anymore. Theo Hernandez dives, it's clear. They’re ruining football; we need to go back to refereeing like before. If they call everything, people get bored. Football is adapting to the rules, but it’s the rules that should adapt to football. The regulations should be made to make football spectacular. Football is what matters, not the rules. And then Bondo deserved a second yellow, but the referee didn’t send him off—why? Because the referee realised his own mistake. Bondo should have been sent off.”

Let’s recall that Bondo was involved in Monza's disallowed goal in the 8th minute due to a push on Theo Hernandez. Former referee Luca Marelli commented, as relayed by Milannews.it:

“There was a slight hold by Bondo on Theo Hernandez. Referee Feliciani let play continue, waiting for the play to conclude, because if he had called it immediately, he couldn’t have gone back. After the play ended, he decided the contact was worth a free kick in favor of Milan, so he called it back. In my opinion, this is a goal that shouldn’t have been disallowed, as the hold was very, very light. It’s a normal game dynamic, but there was a hold, and VAR couldn’t intervene because the intensity of a hold must be assessed by the field referee. Therefore, VAR couldn’t review it.”
