Due to suspensions, Cagliari will be without midfielder Michel Ndary Adopo and defender Yerry Mina for Saturday's game at the Unipol Domus against Milan (6:00 PM CET).
Who will replace the Colombian defender in Cagliari's lineup against AC Milan?
It's easy to guess who will replace the Colombian defender: José Luis Palomino is set to lead the defence alongside the usual Sebastiano Luperto.
It's more challenging to figure out who coach Nicola will choose in midfield to replace Adopo, however.
In fact, the Rossoblù manager has three possible options: Razvan Marin, Matteo Prati, and Alessandro Deiola.
The Romanian (Razvan Marin) is the most offensive alternative: skilled in build-up play and pushing into shooting areas, although he has some limitations in defence. In short, he provides less coverage than Adopo.
Against AC Milan, Cagliari will be more cautious in defence

Coach Davide Nicola could consider giving 20-year-old defensive midfielder Matteo Prati a chance: he offers coverage and can help in transitions due to his sense of positioning. The coach, however, might ultimately lean towards Deiola, asking him to adopt a defensive stance in an important game to try and end a three-game losing streak. Aside from the suspended players, the Italian tactician seems set to confirm the formation and team that battled even with nine men against Lazio.
There's a choice between Adam Obert and Tommaso Augello on the left, and Gianluca Gaetano might initially make way for Nicolas Viola.
