Speaking to Radio Serie A, former Milan, Barcelona, and Juventus player Gianluca Zambrotta shared his thoughts on the Rossoneri, where he played from the summer of 2008 to 2012, amassing 85 appearances, 2 goals, a Scudetto, and a Supercoppa Italiana.
Here's what he had to say:

"Milan. Ambrosini, Maldini, Gattuso, Nesta, Seedorf, Pirlo. In short, all players who made you feel the responsibility of wearing that shirt. They made you understand the history behind it. Today, if I think about it a bit, maybe that’s missing. I mean, there are important players, but nowadays, they often arrive young, in a big squad, at a big club, and maybe they aren’t made to fully understand the responsibility of wearing that shirt."
Zambrotta, a World Cup winner with Italy in 2006, added:
"They need to be taught the history, what the club has achieved, what it has won, and the values it stands for. In short, I believe it’s crucial to help young players understand the shirt they are wearing."
