Arrigo Sacchi, former Rossoneri coach, commented to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Milan's Champions League journey, where they achieved three consecutive wins:
“They pulled off a feat by winning at the Bernabéu against Real Madrid and did well to take three points against Slovan Bratislava. This is a team that needs to work hard to grow. I hope they manage to accomplish the feat of securing another three victories.
Sacchi added:

"The important thing is for the Rossoneri to rely on their own style of play, without worrying too much about their opponents. Everyone must give their all, run for themselves and for their teammates. When you act this way, you’ll receive nothing but applause. Of course, to qualify directly, you need a string of successes and to see how the other teams perform, but we must not forget that there’s always the possibility of advancing through the playoffs."
Sacchi concluded:
"Milan has potential that has yet to be fully expressed; they need to find consistency, but the quality is there. I’d be happy if I saw maximum effort from everyone on the pitch: the result will naturally follow this attitude.”
