Milan’s journey in the Coppa Italia begins from the Round of 16, and it will start against a tricky opponent: Sassuolo.
Despite being a Serie B team, they are dominating the league and, with players like Berardi and Laurienté (to name just two), they could easily compete in Serie A, as relayed via Milannews.it.
Fonseca will do some squad rotations: Maignan, Royal, Gabbia, Thiaw, Theo Hernandez, Pulisic, Musah, and Morata will all be rested. The only regular starters in the lineup will be the irreplaceable Reijnders and Fofana.

The rest of the starting eleven will feature Sportiello in goal, Calabria, Tomori, Pavlovic, and Terracciano in defense, the aforementioned midfield duo, and Abraham up front, supported by Chukwueze, Loftus-Cheek, and Okafor. On the bench will be young talents Bartesaghi, Jimenez, and Camarda.
The only doubt is between Leao and Okafor, as the latter is not fully fit after the flu that kept him out against Empoli.
AC Milan's possible lineup vs Sassuolo
4-2-3-1: Sportiello; Calabria, Tomori, Pavlovic, Terracciano; Fofana, Reijnders; Chukwueze, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Abraham.
