Palermo’s starting goalkeeper in Serie B, Sebastiano Desplanches, spoke with Cronache di Spogliatoio exclusively about his former team, AC Milan, as he played in the Primavera side before leaving it in the summer transfer window of 2022.
Here are his words:

"Milan helped me a lot to grow and make the leap to the big leagues. The moment of my first Champions League call-up against Porto is unforgettable. Milan is a wonderful place where you have everything: they spoil you, they pamper you, and then, of course, you have to be good at transitioning into the world of professionalism and working your way up to join a prestigious club, as I did with Palermo."
Desplanches continued:
"Now the dream is to bring the Rosanero (Palermo) back to Serie A as soon as possible. The victory against Spezia gave us confidence and showed us that we can compete with anyone, and that we need to continue with this grit."
On the City Football Group project, Desplanches said:
"The City Football Group has given us a sports center, which is a source of pride for us. Training in such a facility, for me—having also had the chance to train at Milanello—is a blessing. The facility is fantastic. Training with Sirigu is amazing because he’s had a wonderful career. He’s also been Italy’s national team goalkeeper, so I can only learn from him. It’s an honor to train with him. I’m happy he’s back here. He often tells me what I can improve on regarding positioning and crosses. There’s also the sporting director De Sanctis, who was a great goalkeeper. He often comes to our training area and gives us advice. It’s great to have a director who understands goalkeepers and shares his ideas and suggestions with us."
