After six months, here we are discussing a Milan team that, at best, might finish fourth in the standings, and at worst, will miss out on the next Champions League—a complete disaster.
The management’s decisions have not been correct, starting with relying on Paulo Fonseca. Today, the Portuguese coach is one of the scapegoats, but who chose him? Ibrahimovic, Furlani, and Moncada said they brought in Fonseca to play dominant football, but that dominance has rarely been seen.

What about AC Milan's transfer market?
That was also incomplete; substitutes are missing in key positions, and over time, the first-choice players will inevitably suffer from fatigue. Pulisic is a prime example, but so are Theo Hernandez and the unfortunate Fofana, who is forced to play every match without rest.
A series of significant errors. What can be done now? First, secure qualification for the Champions League Round of 16 without needing playoffs, as the schedule makes it possible. In January, invest to address the squad’s shortcomings. Try to win the Supercoppa (not an easy task) and finish in the top four.
Then reset and make completely different decisions for next season. Because if this is the sporting project, Cardinale would do well to hand over the reins.
