Riccardo Trevisani, during a special evening of 'Fontana di Trevi' spoke about Milan as follows:
"The worst thing is that we still read about the Rossoneri being out of the title race, that the Scudetto is even harder for them, that the others have escaped. For me, they lost the Scudetto the moment they chose Fonseca. They decided they had no chance of winning the league, not even one. But why should a coach who has managed teams like Lille and Roma, teams that don't win the Scudetto, come to Milan and win the title? Second place came with sacrifices, hard work, and the excellent work of Pioli. It’s not a matter of just arriving and winning the Scudetto, especially not with his ideas."

Trevisani continued to talk about AC Milan, saying that Fonseca's team has never been in the conversation for the Scudetto title:
"The Rossoneri team has never been in the title race, and I agree with those who say they won’t even make the top four. There are worse teams, but those teams are coached better, like Lazio, who are coached much better than the Rossoneri. I could also mention Fiorentina, as well as obviously Inter, Napoli, and Juventus. Milan plays in a sloppy manner; they do unserious things on the pitch. Emerson Royal’s lapse in concentration, being swapped with Kalulu, is something that shows you that if you want to defend a 1-1 draw in Bergamo, you need people ready to go to war, not Emerson Royal. So everything is wrong."
