AC Milan boasts a rich history with 19 Serie A titles, with their most recent triumph in the 2021–22 season. It was their first league championship in over a decade, signalling a potential resurgence for the Rossoneri.

In the 2022–23 season, the Rossoneri secured a fourth-place finish, ensuring qualification for the UEFA Champions League. The following year, 2023–24, saw a slight improvement as they climbed to third place.

However, the current 2024–25 campaign presents new challenges. After 12 matches, Milan occupies the seventh position in the Serie A standings, having recorded five wins, four draws, and three losses. It reflects a competitive league environment and underscores the hurdles Milan faces in reclaiming the Scudetto.

As the season progresses, analyzing Milan's title odds requires a comprehensive understanding of their historical achievements, recent performances, and current form.

AC Milan Title Odds

The most reliable bookmakers have released their latest odds for the Serie A title, reflecting the current form and standings of the top teams. Inter Milan leads the pack with odds at -120, indicating their strong position as favorites. Napoli follows at +300, Atalanta at +600, and Juventus at +700. AC Milan, currently in seventh place after 12 games, is listed at +1600. These odds suggest that while Milan faces challenges, there remains potential for improvement. Fans remain optimistic, believing that with strategic adjustments and consistent performances, the Rossoneri can enhance their standing and re-enter the title race.

Key Players and Their Contributions

AC Milan’s season has been shaped by standout individual contributions that hint at the team’s potential, even as challenges persist. Christian Pulisic has quickly become the creative heartbeat of the Rossoneri attack, delivering five goals and three assists while carving out 19 chances for his teammates. Rafael Leao, with 18 successful dribbles, continues to torment defenders, driving the team forward with his flair and directness.

At the back, Strahinja Pavlović could improve to lead the team with 48 clearances, showcasing his importance in Milan’s defensive line. Theo Hernández, from his left-back role, has chipped in with six interceptions, adding bite to the team’s transitional defence.

Between the posts, Mike Maignan has had a mixed campaign. His five clean sheets highlight moments of brilliance, but conceding 14 goals and ranking 16th in saves across Serie A suggests there’s room for improvement.

The Rossoneri's Serie A campaign so far paints a picture of promise mixed with frustration. Twenty goals scored places them joint sixth in the league, showing they know how to find the net, but conceding 14 highlights cracks in the defensive organization that need urgent repair. The team’s 57 shots on target underline their attacking intent, but the finishing has left room for improvement—a sharper edge could make all the difference.

Milan’s 4,931 completed passes speak volumes about their possession-based approach, with an emphasis on control and dictating the tempo. Yet defensively, with just 41 interceptions, they lag behind, ranking a lowly 13th in Serie A. This statistic reflects a lack of aggression in cutting out opposition attacks early.

On the defensive front, five clean sheets tie them for fifth in the league, suggesting that when they’re compact and organized, they can shut out opponents. However, their inability to consistently replicate this solidity has been a stumbling block.

Summary

While AC Milan's current odds reflect the challenges ahead, the dynamic nature of Serie A leaves room for momentum shifts. By addressing internal challenges and capitalizing on rivals' potential slip-ups, the Rossoneri can enhance their prospects in the title race. The upcoming fixtures will be decisive in determining whether Milan can bridge the gap and reassert themselves as serious contenders for the Scudetto.
