During the usual appointment with his editorial for Tuttomercatoweb, colleague Luca Marchetti also spoke about Milan, Paulo Fonseca's position on the Rossoneri bench, and other current topics related to the world of the team:
"[...] Despite the negative period and the protests from a few days ago, Milan continues to give full trust to Fonseca. It is not believed that the locker room does not follow the coach, nor is it thought that the methods used so far by the Portuguese are excessive. Of course, a response on the field is expected, in terms of results, as soon as possible, starting with the next match against Verona, when a convincing performance and, above all, the three points are expected."
He continued to talk about Fonseca's Milan:
"This situation of eternal uncertainty does not help, even in the challenges Fonseca is facing now in getting his players to understand the new guidelines: both on and off the field. Obviously, injuries don't help, but it's unlikely that the solution will come from the market. Meanwhile, work is being done on contract renewals. Not only for Theo (which is quite urgent) and is not tied to the recent measures taken against the full-back, but also for Maignan (urgent as well, with the current expiration in 2026) and Reijnders. For both, a new horizon (2029) and new salaries have been outlined: for Maignan, in line with the team's big names (Leao and Theo), and for Reijnders, around 3 million euros) [...]".
