Arrigo Sacchi, former AC Milan coach, spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the current Milan under Paulo Fonseca:
"The situation at Milan is quite particular. They've made a lot of changes in the market and decided to entrust the bench to Fonseca after Stefano Pioli's tenure, which I consider very positive, not only for winning the scudetto."
Sacchi added:
"The Portuguese coach faces the difficult task of turning this group of players into a team, as they have rarely found consistency in their performances throughout the season. To be honest, I wouldn't give Milan a high rating: let's say a 6-minus... which means there is plenty of room for improvement."

He continued:
"Unfortunately, I’ve seen very few convincing performances, and eighth place in the league isn’t exactly ideal for a club like Milan. Moreover, players like Theo Hernandez and Leao, who were once the leaders of the group, are now struggling to fit into the project."
Sacchi continued to talk about Fonseca's team:
"The defense, to be honest, isn’t unbeatable, and even those who are standing out, like the Dutchman Reijnders or Pulisic, don’t always have the consistency needed to achieve great goals. Fonseca has the duty to persist; he must convey his ideas, and get his style of football into the players' heads. If he succeeds, even the Milan fans will get closer to the team again: the Milan supporter wants entertainment, emotions, and has a taste for harmony and beauty."
