According to La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who had been dealing with a muscle problem for a few weeks, is expected to recover. The Englishman will miss the Roma game but should be ready for the semifinal against Juventus on January 3.

Meanwhile, Rafael Leao and Yunus Musah remain in serious doubt for the Super Cup. Both are sidelined with muscle injuries, and Fonseca explained in yesterday’s press conference that the American and the Portuguese are behind Loftus-Cheek in their recovery.
There is still some hope of having them available in Saudi Arabia, however.
As for Alessandro Florenzi and Noah Okafor are confirmed absentees for the Super Cup, while Luka Jović's situation is still being evaluated. Jović has improved enough to return to training with the group a few days ago but has not been called up for tonight’s match against Roma at San Siro.
