The headline of Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper about Milan today is predictable because the rumour has now been confirmed by the person directly involved: Paulo Fonseca will no longer be the Rossoneri coach.
The club’s official announcement is still pending, but the coach’s confirmation has already arrived. This morning, the newspaper reads:
"Milan flop. Fonseca sacked."
And it goes on to say: "Draw with Roma, the club lets him go. The new coach will be Conceição.”
Fonseca’s experience with the Rossoneri ends against his former team and with a red card.

The dismissal of the Portuguese coach effectively marks the failure of the Rossoneri project, as Gazzetta reminds readers this morning:
"The Milanese technical project has failed: at the end of December, the Rossoneri still lack a tactical identity."
The bench will be entrusted for the next six months to another Portuguese coach, Sérgio Conceição, who arrives in Milan today and will immediately be engaged in Saudi Arabia with the team for the season’s first trophy:
"Sérgio Conceição, in the Italian Super Cup on Friday, will immediately face his son Francisco, who plays for Juventus."
