Is there a chance that Marcus Rashford could become an AC Milan player?
This is the question that many fans are asking. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport on their website, the starting point is clear: the relationship between Manchester United and Rashford has broken down. New coach Ruben Amorim has been highly critical of his attitude, excluding him from matches on several occasions.
He hasn’t been fined but has been left out of the group of starters and reserves.
The Englishman has politely made it known that he is ready to move on: he’s prepared for a new adventure. And this, evidently, hasn’t helped to mend the relationship.

The scenario, revealed in Spain by Relevo, is compelling. Manchester United will try to sell Rashford, but there are several issues. Timing: we are in January, not the summer. Salary: Rashford earns around 20 million euros gross per season, including image rights, which equates to 13 million euros net per season.
Logic suggests that United won’t manage to sell him outright and might instead loan him out, covering part of his wages. To whom? The game is wide open in that sense.
Rashford is an appealing profile.
Milan is interested: the Manchester United forward who is 27 years of age is a strong player (His contract runs until the summer of 2028). In the 2022-2023 season, he scored 30 goals plus 9 assists in 56 matches across all competitions. AC Milan's consultant, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, played with him at Manchester United. A deal at full salary is unfeasible, however, because the costs are too high and incompatible with Milan’s financial strategy in recent years and the wage structure of the squad.
If Manchester were to cover part of his salary, however, Milan could acquire Rashford for six months at a high but manageable cost, slightly above 5 million euros gross.
This falls under the "high difficulty" category: it’s challenging but not impossible.
