In the pre-match coverage of Milan versus Girona in the Champions League last night, former striker and current pundit Luca Toni, present as a guest at the Amazon Prime Video at San Siro, spoke about the center-forward situation at the Rossoneri club, tying it to the transfer market discussion.
Luca Toni's words on the striker issue in Sergio Conceicao's team:
"Morata is an excellent player, but he’s not a traditional center-forward. Milan needs height in the penalty area, a physically strong striker. Abraham comes in and sometimes manages to deliver, but in my opinion, he’s not a true center-forward either. Morata has always been used to playing with a partner close to him; in this Milan team, he finds himself as the only forward."
