AC Milan continues to push for Santiago Gimenez.

Right now, their mental and physical focus is on tonight’s Champions League match at Maksimir against Dinamo Zagreb, but negotiations between the Rossoneri and Feyenoord for the Mexican striker are ongoing.

According to Sky Sport, those at Casa Milan are hopeful they can convince the Rotterdam club to let go of the 2001-born forward, especially since Milan has already convinced Gimenez to join their cause.

The Mexican striker wants to move, particularly because he had received a promise from Feyenoord last summer that he would be allowed to leave if a top-tier club made an offer, even during this winter transfer window. As a result, Gimenez himself is pushing hard for the Dutch club to accept Milan’s bid, despite it being lower than their asking price.

The offer stands at 20 million euros plus 7 million euros in bonuses—a total far below the €35 million Feyenoord is now demanding for Gimenez. As for the alternative, Lorenzo Lucca, that path appears to be quite difficult to pursue this January, especially since the priority remains elsewhere, as relayed via Milannews.it.
