A mutual promise of love with your wife, just like your bond with Milan...
"Exactly. Milan was that love I had since I was a child. I had the dream of playing here. I grew up watching a Milan that won everything—the team of Pirlo, Gattuso, Maldini, Nesta... I was little, and that team enchanted me. I never wanted to take off that jersey. I have so many childhood photos wearing it, and today, this dream is coming true."
What kind of relationship do you have with your father?
"He's like a brother, like a friend. Of course, he's the person I always listen to and let guide me, but we act like best friends. He has helped me a lot by giving me advice, watching my matches, and telling me what I did well or badly... especially what I did badly. On the other hand, my mother was always there to support and accompany me on this journey."
The origin of the nickname "Bebote":
"Ever since I was little, my parents called me 'Bebote' because I was a 'little giant' as a child. Even at a young age, I was big physically. Then, this nickname went viral all over the world."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic says Gimenez is as strong as him...
"It's a huge responsibility, but I’m happy. I have a lot of faith in his words because everything he says comes true."
On choosing the number 7:
"I chose Shevchenko’s number 7—he's a legend of this club. I know it carries a lot of weight, but I like these challenges. I like putting myself to the test, and all I can do is give my best."
Santi, how will you experience Feyenoord - Milan?
"In a very intense and emotional way. I’m a player who puts emotions before everything else, and today will be no exception."
If you score, will you celebrate? Gimenez replied:
"No, no, I won’t celebrate because it's a team I respect a lot, and they have given me so much."
