Marco Giampaolo, former Rossoneri coach now at Lecce, gave a lengthy interview to La Stampa in which he also spoke about his brief experience with the AC Milan team.

Here are his statements:
"My time at Milan was an incredible opportunity. I was there for a very short period, too short. It ended early, too early. I felt I had earned it after three good years at Sampdoria and one at Empoli. Let’s just say the stars didn’t align."
Giampaolo added:
"Was my dismissal solely my fault? I believe responsibility always falls on everyone, but I was sacked after a victory. Maybe there were differing opinions and visions… who knows. I was just getting started, what a shame."
