In his interview with SportMediaset, Roma forward Stephan El Shaarawy also spoke about his past experiences, from Milan to China:
Recently, you returned to San Siro for the Coppa Italia match in April against Milan, and the stadium applauded you when you came on. What memories do you have of your time at Milan?
"I think it's impossible not to get emotional when you step into that stadium with Milan. I fulfilled my dream of playing in that shirt, scoring my first Serie A goal, and playing alongside my idol, Kaká. So, it's always a great emotion to go back there."

In your career, you made an important decision, you left Italy to go to China (Shanghai Shenhua). After a year and a half, you came back. Would you make that choice again?
"There was a lot of thought behind that decision, and the fact that I returned to Roma makes it feel a little less heavy. But it was still an important experience for me. I didn't even get to fully live it because then COVID hit, and the league was halted for seven months. I still have positive memories, especially because after the first six months, I won a trophy with them, the Chinese Cup, which was definitely a great satisfaction."
