Quinten Timber, Feyenoord's captain in the first-leg match in Rotterdam against Milan, has suffered an external knee ligament injury.
The Feyenoord captain will have to undergo months of rehabilitation and has now undergone surgery in the Netherlands.
Last Wednesday, in the home match against Milan in the Champions League Round of 16, things went decidedly badly for him.
