Quinten Timber, Feyenoord's captain in the first-leg match in Rotterdam against Milan, has suffered an external knee ligament injury.
The Feyenoord captain will have to undergo months of rehabilitation and has now undergone surgery in the Netherlands.

Last Wednesday, in the home match against Milan in the Champions League Round of 16, things went decidedly badly for him.
The midfielder sustained an ankle sprain but managed to continue playing for a while before being forced to come off. The reaction to last week's injury from Calvin Stengs, who is familiar with this type of injury, spoke volumes and suggested the worst, as relayed via Milanistichannel.com.
