Tijjani Reijnders has renewed his contract with Milan until 2030, just a year and a half after his arrival in the Rossoneri shirt.
The signing and official announcement came yesterday, Monday, March 3. The Dutch midfielder was interviewed by the club’s official channels, sharing his emotions and feelings about this important milestone.
Here are his statements, as relayed via Milannewsit:
On his emotions:
"It is truly a special moment to sign the contract renewal with Milan: I am very proud to stay even longer in this beautiful club with my family."

On the current season:
"At the moment, on the pitch, we are going through a difficult period. But I still believe we can do better, and I know things will get much better. If you play for Milan, you want to play to lift trophies: we can still win something this season, the second trophy, the Coppa Italia. And we also have to be ready for next season."
On the team:
"My teammates are like my family because, in the last period, I have seen them more than my wife or my son. The club itself is like a family; I can say that Milan is my second home."
On his experience so far, Reijnders said:
"90 matches are a lot. Fortunately, I feel good and can give 100% in every match. I want to reach as many matches as possible for this club. Every time I wear the Rossoneri shirt, I feel at home: it makes me very proud."
On the change compared to the first year:
"In the first season, I had to adapt because it was a new league, and there were new teammates. This season, I feel much freer; this has led to more goals and more convincing performances. I feel like I have taken an important step. In this club, I can play on the highest stages: for me, this is the best environment to keep improving as a player."
Reijnders concluded with a message to the fans:
"I want to thank the fans because they are always there for us: in every match, I feel their support, even in the worst moments. We will definitely do better, already now and in the next season. Forza Milan!"
