The casting for the sporting director has just begun. In recent days, Giorgio Furlani has started meeting the first candidates to find the right man to whom he can entrust the keys to Milan. With a year's delay, the management has realized that a figure like the sporting director was absolutely necessary—not just for the transfer market but, above all, for the daily management of Milanello. Teams are not built only during the summer and winter transfer windows; many aspects need to be taken care of throughout the year.

The Milan CEO will hold several interviews in the coming days...

According to the latest reports, the decision will not be made immediately. The Rossoneri executive will take all the time necessary to ensure he does not choose the wrong manager. After all, entrusting the job to the wrong person would further complicate Milan’s revival after a disastrous season.

Igli Tare was one of the most highly rated names in recent weeks, but his chances are gradually fading. Meanwhile, the candidacy of Fabio Paratici, an executive appreciated by Furlani, has gained significant traction. Paratici has worked at Juventus and Tottenham. There have already been initial talks, and more will follow in the coming days to explore the matter further.

It’s not just a financial issue...

there’s also a need to understand how the next sporting director intends to operate. How many changes would he want to make to the squad? Does he envision a revolution or a restructuring? Another name in contention is Atalanta’s Tony D’Amico, and foreign options will not be overlooked either. However, as of today, Paratici is the strongest candidate.

Of course, the available budget will have to be taken into account. And it won’t be an easy summer for Milan without the Champions League. More than fifty million euros in revenue will be lost, which highlights the number of mistakes made this season. With a limited budget, selling players will be crucial to creating more financial flexibility, as relayed via Milannews.it.

This does not mean Milan has to sell all its top players; simply maximizing the sales of loaned-out players could already generate significant revenue. If Milan manages to offload all surplus players, the club could bring in nearly 100 million euros. Clearly, this is an optimistic projection in which all loaned players would be sold, but in reality, selling well is key. Some price tags were already set in the summer, while others will need to be negotiated in the coming months.

Milan has many players out on loan with an option to buy:

Adli to Fiorentina – €10.5 million
Bennacer to Marseille – €12 million + bonuses
Colombo to Empoli – €7 million
Kalulu to Juventus – €14 million + €3 million in bonuses
Pobega to Torino – €12 million
Morata to Galatasaray – €8 million until January 15, 2026
Okafor to Napoli – €23.5 million

Without an option to buy is... Saelemaekers – From Milan, a straight loan to Roma

If the management does a good job, they could secure a significant budget through these player sales. Otherwise, they will have to strengthen the squad with less money than last summer, as missing out on the Champions League will inevitably have an impact.

The other option is to sell a key player, and in that case, the main candidate to leave is Theo Hernandez. During the winter transfer window, Milan had already agreed to sell the Frenchman to Como for around €45 million, but the full-back rejected the move.

By the way, if you are looking to gain access to entire virtual universes with just a single touch. Platforms like casino stake exemplify this evolution, offering sophisticated experiences that blend cutting-edge technology with user-friendly interfaces. Instant access from any device, seamless integration between games, advanced analytics – all of this has become the norm that we barely even notice anymore.
