In recent days, there has been persistent talk of Massimiliano Allegri as the leading candidate for the Milan bench after Sergio Conceição, but the reality is clear: without a sporting director, neither the Livorno native nor any other profile linked to the club will be shaking hands with Milan.

The search for this important role continues at Casa Milan, with Tuttosport headlining this morning:
"It's a three-horse race for the role of sporting director."
The candidates are always the same, the usual names: Tony D'Amico from Atalanta, Igli Tare, and Fabio Paratici, with the latter appearing to be the one who could bring everyone together at the club.
The decision, however, has not yet been made, with Giorgio Furlani planning to take all the time needed to avoid making a mistake in choosing the person who will shape the future of this (new) Rossoneri team.
