Alessandro Florenzi, Milan defender who recently recovered from a long injury that kept him out for the entire season, was interviewed by Sky Sport 24. The Rossoneri player, well-liked in the locker room, spoke about the team's current situation ahead of their upcoming matches. Here are his statements:

On the team and his teammates:
"I always trust Milan. I know what Milan's players are capable of, and I consider them very strong. We have to block out the noise—it's normal that everyone is talking about us since we're not doing well. They kept quiet for four years, they had a backlog to catch up on, and now they’re all speaking badly about us because we're in ninth place. It's nothing new to me, maybe for some it is."
On the objectives for the rest of the season:
"We have to give everything and that's it, leave the pitch without regrets. The derby is far away; we are focused on Napoli. To win, you need certain factors, and one of them is the group. Then there's quality, and in the Scudetto-winning year, in my opinion, there was actually less of it. We are many and strong. Whether you play one player or another, it doesn’t make a difference. Maybe what we've lacked is experience."
On what went wrong, Florenzi replied:
"We started with a different coach than the one we had for the last five years, and then choices were made that led to another coach. Obviously, these situations are never easy, especially for a young group like ours. But that shouldn't be an excuse or an alibi: we win together, and we lose together. That means everyone is responsible when something goes wrong—coach, players, club."
Is fourth place possible?
"We can aim for fourth place, of course it's difficult, and we have to focus on that, taking it one match at a time. We have to play as if every game is a final, not just talk about it. We've been very good at talking this year, but we need to do more with our actions."
On the match against Napoli:
"It's a game that can give you a lot or take a lot away. Napoli is doing great things and is competing for the Scudetto—it seems strange to say, but I want to see consistency from Milan in performances, just like in the last two games. Then the result could be a loss, a draw, or a win."
On the national team:
"We have a fantastic coach and a lot of really strong players. I’m crazy about Barella—he's an incredible player, but as a person, he's even better."
