The Milan and Mexico national team forward, Santiago Gimenez, spoke to the microphones of Golazo America about the victory in the Nations League final against Panama, in which he played as a starter alongside Raul Jimenez.

Here are his words:
"It’s the best feeling to be a champion, I feel great. We won the Nations League, Mexico is back to being competitive by becoming champions. We played giving our best in every role and every match. The partnership with Jimenez? It was crazy because we never trained together, but we are football players and we have to be able to play in any formation. It’s an honor for me to play with him, we understood each other very well on the field. Has the Tri (nickname for Mexico) returned? Yes, of course," as relayed via Milannews.it.
On his Instagram profile, Santiago Gimenez then wrote:
"Nations League champions!! Thanks for all the unconditional support." Then a quote from the Letters to the Colossians by St. Paul: "And whatever you do, do it with all your heart, as for the Lord and not for men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward. Colossians 3:23-24."
